Completed in 1962 designed by architects James Stirling and James Gowan, this modernist Grade II listed school comprises four wedged shaped blocks with roofs supported by diagonal timber beams supported at midspan by a diagonal struts which meet at the base of the timber mullions.
Devise were excited to acquire high-quality archive drawings and photography, which provided valuable insights into the extent of previous repairs to the façade.
We're proud to have provided engineering design input to assist in the building's sensitive refurbishment including the replacement of the glazed façade and the sympathetic repair around the building's external perimeter to ensure the longevity of this fantastic educational building.
