Angel Way

Located on the north-western edge of Romford town centre, this project will transform a site housing a 1960s multi-storey car park into a vibrant new neighbourhood.

The development proposes two residential blocks ranging from 6 to 8 storeys, delivering 106 apartments arranged around a generous central garden. Key features include the introduction of new green space - the first of its kind in central Romford in a generation - improved pedestrian and cycle routes, and a new urban square that enhances the setting of the locally listed Trinity Methodist Church.

The scheme includes a blue/green roof to attenuate surface water at source whilst benefiting local biodiversity.  It also integrates the existing culverted River Rom into the landscape design and reflects the aspirations of the Romford Town Centre Masterplan. Careful consideration is being given to the site’s historic surroundings, including several nearby listed buildings, and managing views from key townscape vantage points.
