This project in Wimbledon Village involves a commercial retrofit and extension, including an infill nestled between two existing buildings. This innovative addition brings the structures together, transforming them into a contemporary health centre

At the project outset, thorough optioneering was conducted to explore the potential of the site. Due to restricted access, a stick-built timber solution emerged as the optimal choice, offering both lightweight construction and a low-embodied carbon footprint.

The existing buildings will be repurposed and redesigned, undergoing retrofit insulation and overcladding with a vertical open timber batten system. This enhancement aims to significantly elevate the thermal performance and operational energy efficiency of the building as a whole.
